Thiruparankundram Temple
The temple of lord Murugan ,this temple is said to be very ancient and is one of the six abodes of lord Murugan. There are many legends of this temple and one forgotten story says the temple being older than hinduism. Even Hinduism is very old, according to hindu scholars its at-least 12,000 years old dating back to the last civilization. Legend says that the cave of the inner temple is the ancient part of the temple and the greater parts of the temple were extended 500 years ago. The big hill next to the temple is said to be very ancient as it was called the 'Himalaya of the south', the hill is shrinking very little every year and was said to be an enormous mountain 12,000 years ago. The scientific fact is that young mountains grow in size such as the Himalayas and old mountains grow smaller. There are many other legends associated with the temple which are distorted and forgotten through the passage of time. Use of the temple
The hindus always used the temple to meditate 400 years ago as the temple was filled with people meditating and praying. Like the Meenkashi Amman Temple, this temple too helps converge the energy into the temple. At-least one enlightened being is said to have died on top of the mountain near the temple, making the mountain an area of higher consciousness. Astral projection Technique
While consciously astral projecting i've seen very similar images (in my head), like these symbols in these sculptures. I am wondering if these symbols are to be meditated for astral projecting (OBE). It also makes sense that the sculptors didn't make random symbols just to beautify the temple. Try meditating on these symbols if you are trying to astral project,it helped me.
Method: Keep staring at the symbol for ten minutes, as time passes you will have a narrow vision, only the symbol remains, close your eyes and the symbol should immediately be in your mind very strongly, now try to pull yourself outside the body.(keeping trying this method, its very effecient with binural beats.)
